By engaging Costwold Granite and Marble Ltd, designated as CGMarble Ltd below for any services, you (hereinafter referred to as the "Customer") agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms and conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between the Customer and CGMarble Ltd.

 

Fitting Checklist Terms and Conditions

Base Units and Preparation
1.1 Prior to fitting/installation, the base units, including any breakfast bars or islands, must be ready, level, and securely fitted.

1.2 If the cupboards are not level, it will affect the levelness of the worktops.

 

Removal of Existing Worktops and Preparations
2.1 Any existing worktops, whether temporary or old, and any old tiling must be removed before the fitting.

 

2.2 All sinks, taps, hobs, and other appliances should be on-site during the fitting, ready for installation. If you plan to reuse your existing sink and hob or any other fitted appliances, ensure they can be easily removed and re-fitted without damage, and that they are ready for installation on the fitting day.

Plumbing and Electrical Works

 

3.1 CGMarble Ltd team do not undertake plumbing or electrical works and are not certified for such tasks.

 

Removal of Cupboard Doors and Preparation
4.1 Please ensure all the doors below the worktop are removed, and drawers have been taken out, so that the fitters can fix the tops from inside the cupboards. This helps prevent any damage to these items during installation.

Fit-for-Purpose Base Carcass Units

 

5.1 It is essential that your base carcass units are fit-for-purpose and strong enough to support the worktops.

 

5.2 Some flat-pack kitchen units may only be designed to hold Formica or composite worktops. Therefore, supporting batons along the back wall and between large spans may be required, especially around appliances (dishwashers, washing machines, tumble dryers, sinks, hobs, etc.) and any other weak points.

 

5.3 This advice applies to all solid worktops as well.

 

Strengthening Work and Verification

6.1 Our templator will inform you of any necessary strengthening work. If they could not assess the space behind your existing cupboards or appliances, it is your responsibility to ask your builder to check for any required strengthening.

 

6.2 CGMarble Ltd.'s liability, if any, shall be limited to the total amount paid by the Customer for the services/products provided.

 

Sealing and Finishing
7.1 Worktop fitters do not seal to other surfaces as an industry standard.

 

7.2 It is not our responsibility to finish behind upstands, splashbacks, etc., using caulk or filler according to your preference(usually made by decorator/contractor).

 

Site Visits
A.1 CGMarble Ltd. will conduct two (2) site visits as part of the quotation when template and fitting services are specified.

 

A.2 Additional site visits requested by the Customer beyond the two included visits will be subject to a call-out charge of £100 and £65 per hour each worker from the time of leaving our  workshop plus VAT. Distance of 20 miles from CGMarble Ltd included, over 20 mile, £0.95/Mile plus VAT.

 

A.3 The call-out charge and hourly rate will be invoiced separately from the quotation and final payment.

Payment Conditions
B.1 The Customer agrees to make payments to CGMarble Ltd. in accordance with the agreed-upon payment terms.

 

B.2 A deposit, as specified in the quotation, is required to secure the services of CGMarble Ltd. The deposit is non-refundable unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

 

B.3 The final payment is due within three (3) days after completion of the services, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

 

B.4 Late payments may incur additional charges and may impact the scheduling of any future services and all the materials remain property of CGMarble Ltd until full payment.

 

Quotations and Validity

C.1 Quotations provided by CGMarble Ltd. are valid for a period of five (5) working days from the date of issuance, unless stated otherwise in writing.

 

C.2 Any changes or modifications to the scope of work or specifications may result in a revised quotation from CGMarble Ltd.
